Which ERP for an SME in Algeria in 2026? Odoo, Sage, ERPNext, Dolibarr and Algerian vendors
Choosing an ERP for an Algerian SME: published prices, tax localization, payroll, language, integrators and pitfalls, compared from vendor pages on 1 November 2026.
Short answer (1 November 2026): for an Algerian SME there is no “best” ERP in absolute terms. Odoo is the most widespread international package with an Algerian accounting localization and partners in Algeria; Sage remains a reference among accounting firms and established SMEs; ERPNext and Dolibarr are free but need an integrator or time; several Algerian vendors target small businesses in dinars. The real cost is implementation, not the licence, and Algerian payroll is the first thing to check.
Disclosure: bizalgeria.com, NEKST DIGITAL and dzcollab share the same owner. NEKST DIGITAL is not a partner of any vendor listed here.
How we compare. This comparison relies on public information: vendor pricing and feature pages, official documentation and legal texts, read on 1 November 2026. We did not test these products in real conditions and we do not score them. Prices change: check the vendor’s page before you pay. No vendor listed here paid to appear.
Do you really need an ERP?
An ERP links sales, purchasing, stock, accounting and often payroll in one system. It becomes useful when you re-enter the same figures in three tools, when stock no longer matches the books, or when several people or sites work on the same data. If you work alone and invoice a few clients a month, invoicing software is enough.
The criteria that matter in Algeria
| Criterion | Why | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| SCF accounting | Your statements must follow the Algerian financial accounting system (SCF) | “Is the SCF chart of accounts included, and who set it up?” |
| VAT, stamp duty, G50 | 19% and 9% rates, stamp duty, monthly returns | “Does the software prepare the G50, or only exports?” |
| IRG and CNAS payroll | IRG scale, contributions, DAS: often missing from foreign packages | “Show me an Algerian payslip produced by the software.” |
| Arabic and French | Invoices, payslips and official documents | “Do the interface and documents exist in both languages?” |
| Paying for the licence | Dinars or foreign currency | “Can I pay in dinars, by bank transfer or CCP?” |
| Local integrator | They make or break the project | “Which references in Algeria can I call?” |
| Hosting and data | Law 18-07 on personal data | “Where is the data hosted, and can I export everything?” |
| 2027 rules | Vendor commitment for accounting software | “Will you provide the commitment required by the 2026 Finance Law?” |
The options, vendor by vendor
Odoo
Odoo publishes its prices: a One App Free plan (a single app, unlimited users), then Standard at $24.90 and Custom at $49.00 per user per month billed yearly ($31.10 and $61.00 billed monthly). Implementation is not included. The documentation lists an “Algeria - Accounting” localization, and the official directory lists partners in Algeria, including Insidjam (Gold) and SIBIC (Silver). We did not find full Algerian payroll in the vendor’s documentation: integrators offer it as a module, so have it demonstrated. The subscription is in dollars: see paying for software from Algeria.
Sage
Sage is sold in Algeria through resellers. BSC Algérie, in Algiers, for example presents Sage 100C (Accounting, Sales management, Payroll & HR, Production), Sage FRP 1000 and Sage X3. No price is shown: you need a quote. Ask whether payroll is set up for Algeria and who updates it when the Finance Law changes.
ERPNext
ERPNext describes itself as free and open source. You can install it yourself or host it on Frappe’s cloud (14-day free trial, hosting from $5 a month). Frappe does not do implementation: it refers you to partners. We did not verify an official Algerian localization.
Dolibarr
Dolibarr is a free ERP and CRM aimed at SMEs, freelancers and associations. It is modular and runs on your own server or with a host. As with ERPNext, Algerian compliance depends on configuration and the modules you add.
SAP and Microsoft Dynamics
These suites mainly target large companies and are sold through integrators. We did not read their pages for this comparison.
Algerian vendors
- Operacium presents itself as a modular ERP/CRM suite for SMEs, very small businesses, cooperatives and entrepreneurs, in dinars, with a free trial. Price not found.
- Fisira describes itself as a “modular ERP platform” and publishes plans from 11,900 to 35,000 DZD a year, mostly focused on invoicing and the G50.
- Almawarid focuses on HR and payroll (IRG/CNAS payslips), is hosted in Algeria, and has a free starting plan.
These vendors bill in dinars and speak the local language, but check how deep their modules go (multi-warehouse stock, production, full accounting) before you commit.
Who should choose what
- Very small business or shop, one to three people: an Algerian vendor in dinars, or a single free Odoo app, rather than a full ERP.
- Trading SME with stock: Odoo with a local partner, Sage 100C through a reseller, or an Algerian vendor if the modules are enough. Compare on a real case: an order, a delivery, an invoice, a credit note.
- Manufacturing SME: insist on a demo of the production module and references in your sector.
- Tight budget and a technical team: ERPNext or Dolibarr, knowing that the time you spend has a cost.
- A very particular process, or a need to link the ERP to your store, carriers or till: see the box below and off-the-shelf or custom software?.
Classic pitfalls
- Comparing licences instead of the project. Implementation, data migration and training often cost more than the licence. Ask for a separate, line-by-line quote.
- Buying every module at once. Start with sales, stock and invoicing, then add more.
- Forgetting payroll. It is the module most tied to Algerian law. Have a real payslip produced.
- Not planning the exit. Insist on a full export of your data in a readable format.
- Ignoring 2027. From 1 January 2027, accounting software must be covered by a vendor commitment. See the 2027 rules for tills and accounting software.
Option: connect your ERP to your other tools, or build custom
An off-the-shelf ERP does not do everything. Sometimes it has to connect to an online store, a carrier, a payment service or an internal tool. A development studio can write those connections or a custom tool. One example is NEKST DIGITAL, which presents a custom software offer with APIs and connections to payment, messaging and management tools. NEKST DIGITAL is not an Odoo partner or a reseller for any ERP vendor; to configure an ERP, go through one of the vendor’s partners. NEKST DIGITAL has the same owner as bizalgeria: compare several quotes with our checklist.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best ERP for an SME in Algeria?
There is no single one. Odoo has an Algerian accounting localization and local partners; Sage is widespread through resellers; ERPNext and Dolibarr are free; Algerian vendors such as Operacium target SMEs in dinars. Choose after a demo, with an integrator who has references in Algeria.
How much does Odoo cost in Algeria?
Odoo shows One App Free, then $24.90 (Standard) or $49.00 (Custom) per user per month billed yearly, as of 1 November 2026, in dollars. Implementation by a partner comes on top and is quoted separately.
Does Odoo handle Algerian payroll?
Odoo’s documentation lists an Algerian accounting localization, but we did not find full Algerian payroll there. Integrators offer payroll modules: ask for a real payslip in the demo.
Is there a free ERP?
ERPNext and Dolibarr are free software: the software costs nothing, but hosting, configuration and support do. Odoo offers one free app.
Does an ERP need to be approved in Algeria?
From 1 January 2027, the law provides for a vendor commitment for accounting software and till systems. Ask your vendor whether it will provide one, and check the implementing texts with the DGI.
