Showcase website for an Algerian SME: what it must include (identity, contact, legal pages, local SEO)

The pages and details an Algerian company showcase site should carry: identity and identifiers, contact, personal-data notice under law 18-07, extra rules if you sell online, and local search.

A showcase site (site vitrine) is often the first thing a client, a supplier or a bank checks about your company. It does not need to be big. It needs to answer five questions fast: who you are, what you do, where you are, how to reach you, and whether you can be trusted. Here is what to put on it, what the law says, and what is simply good practice.

Disclosure: bizalgeria.com, NEKST DIGITAL and dzcollab share the same owner.

The minimum pages

PageWhat goes on it
HomeOne sentence on what you do and for whom, your main service, a call to action (call, quote form)
Services or productsOne section per service, with what is included and who it is for
AboutYour story, your team or your workshop, your town and wilaya
ReferencesReal projects or clients who agreed to be named, with photos you own
ContactPhone, email, address, opening hours, a map, a simple form
Legal notice and privacyWho runs the site, how you handle personal data (see below)

Add a page only when you have something real to put on it. A thin “Blog” with two posts from 2022 hurts more than no blog.

Identity and identifiers: what builds trust

Show the full legal name of the business, its form (EURL, SARL, auto-entrepreneur), the address and a working phone number. Many Algerian clients and suppliers also check identifiers before ordering. We found no text requiring a showcase site that does not sell online to display the register or tax number, but showing them on the legal page costs nothing and lets people verify you. Unfamiliar terms are in the glossary of NIF, NIS, RC and G12, and the NIF and NIS validator checks the format before you publish.

If you sell online, the rules change

As soon as visitors can order on the site, law 18-05 on e-commerce applies, and the offer must show your tax number, addresses, phone, register or craft card number, product features, price including all taxes, availability and delivery terms. Use the law 18-05 checklist for online sellers.

Contact forms and personal data (law 18-07)

A contact form collects personal data. Law 18-07 says:

  • Inform people before they send (art. 32): who you are, why you collect the data, who receives it, whether fields are compulsory, their rights, and any transfer abroad. One short paragraph under the form and a privacy page are enough to do this clearly.
  • Declare or get authorisation (art. 12): processing is subject to a prior declaration to the national authority or its authorisation.
  • Protect the data (art. 38).
  • Transfers abroad (art. 44) need the authority’s authorisation. Think about it if the form sends messages to a mailbox or a tool hosted outside Algeria.
  • Do not reuse the emails for marketing without consent: see what law 18-07 says about cold outreach.

Ask only for what you need: name, phone or email, message.

Local search basics

  • Put your town and wilaya in the page titles and on the contact page.
  • Use the same name, address and phone everywhere (site, social pages, map listings).
  • Write services in the words your clients use, in French and Arabic if you serve both.
  • Make the phone number clickable on mobile.
  • Keep the site fast: compress photos, avoid heavy sliders.

Who builds it

A small showcase site can be done by yourself with a site builder, by a freelance developer, or by an agency or studio. For example, NEKST DIGITAL lists a web development service for marketing sites and landing pages. Whoever builds it, the domain and hosting must be in your name and the code must be yours: follow our checklist for choosing a web provider.

What we could not confirm

  • Whether a showcase site that does not sell must display the register or tax number.
  • Whether law 25-11, which amends law 18-07, changed the articles cited above.
  • How the national authority’s declaration works in practice for a simple contact form.

  • Verified Law 18-07, art. 32: unless they already know it, a person whose personal data is collected must be informed beforehand, expressly and unambiguously, of the identity of the controller, the purposes of the processing and other useful information such as recipients, whether answering is compulsory, their rights and any transfer abroad.
  • Verified Law 18-07, art. 12: any processing of personal data is subject to a prior declaration to the national authority or its authorisation. Art. 38: the controller must implement measures to protect the data. Art. 44: transfer to a foreign state requires the national authority’s authorisation and an adequate level of protection in that state.
  • Verified If the site sells online, law 18-05 art. 11 requires the offer to show the seller’s tax number, physical and email addresses, phone, register or craft card number, product features, price including all taxes, availability and delivery terms.
  • Verified NEKST DIGITAL lists a web development service covering marketing sites and landing pages, web applications, headless CMS and performance.
  • To verify Whether Algerian law requires a showcase site that does not sell online to display the company’s register number or tax number: no text we read says so. Whether law 25-11, which amends law 18-07, changes arts 12, 32, 38 or 44 was not checked.
