Why shown ROAS does not tell you what you earn

With cash on delivery, the ad platform counts a sale as soon as the customer fills in the form. But some orders are never confirmed, and some shipped parcels come back unpaid. Shown ROAS assumes everything is paid, so it overstates your receipts.

Cash-collected ROAS corrects that: cash-collected ROAS = shown ROAS × confirmation rate × delivery rate. The tool computes it from your own rates, which are not another seller’s.

What the tool calculates

For each order received, it adds the cost of advertising, confirmation, packaging of shipped parcels, the delivered product, delivery fees, return fees and, if you enter them, the collection commission and unsellable returns. It then divides by the number of parcels actually delivered: that is the real cost per delivered parcel.

It also gives the maximum cost per order received and the minimum delivery rate beyond which you lose money, your other figures staying unchanged.

  • No rate or tariff is pre-filled: you enter your own figures.
  • Calculations run in your browser, with no data sent.

Where to find your own rates

The confirmation rate is measured by counting, over a period, confirmed orders divided by orders received. The delivery rate is parcels delivered and paid divided by parcels shipped. Your carrier usually provides a statement: keep it. To compare carriers, read the comparison method with no copied tariffs.

Frequently asked questions

What is cash-collected ROAS?

It is the ROAS shown by the platform multiplied by your confirmation rate and your delivery rate. It measures what advertising brings in as money actually collected.

How is the real cost per delivered parcel calculated?

For one order received you add every cost (advertising, confirmation, packaging, product, delivery, returns, commission), then divide by the share of orders that end in a delivered parcel (confirmation × delivery).

Which confirmation and delivery rates should I enter?

Yours, measured on your own orders. The tool offers no average: the ones going around have no verifiable source.

Are taxes and CASNOS included?

No. Use the site’s VAT calculator and CASNOS calculator for that part.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser.

  • Returned parcels go back to stock, except the share you declare unsellable.
  • Ad spend and confirmation cost are paid for every order received.
  • The tool supplies no rate, tariff or cost: they are your figures. It contains no market average.

Cases not covered

  • Taxes and contributions (IFU, CASNOS, VAT): use the other tools on the site.
  • Return fees that vary by wilaya, discounts, bundles, storage cost and the cost of tied-up stock.
  • How long the carrier takes to remit the collected cash.
