Free Algerian CV maker: create a CV in PDF (French, Arabic, English)

Fill in the sections and your CV takes shape in front of you: three templates, in French, Arabic (right to left) or English, with the sections Algerian employers expect: date and place of birth, nationality, national service, driving licence, wilaya and a phone number in +213 format. Download it as a PDF. Nothing is sent to a server.

Language and template

The plain template is the easiest for CV-screening software to read.

Identity and contact

Type the number with the leading 0: we convert it to +213.

Picked on your device, resized here and never sent. Prefer an ID-style photo on a neutral background.

Personal details (optional)

For men: give your exact situation as shown on your service record.

These items are customary on an Algerian CV, but nothing forces you to fill them all in. Never put your ID card or social security number.

Profile

Two or three sentences: your trade, your experience, what you are looking for.

Work experience
Education
Skills, languages and interests

Separated by commas or one per line.

Internships and extra training

One item per line: work placement, training certificate, vocational centre course (CFPA).

Saved in your browser only, never sent. Do not tick on a shared computer.

In the print window, choose “Save as PDF” as the printer and turn off headers and footers.

Your CV

Your details stay in your browser: nothing is sent or stored on our servers.

Before you send it

  • Check the dates and spelling, then have someone else read it.
  • Keep it to one page if you are starting out, two at most otherwise.
  • Send a PDF named after you, for example CV-Benali-Karim.pdf.

How to write a CV for Algerian employers

An Algerian CV looks like a French CV, with a personal-details block that is often fuller: date and place of birth, nationality, marital status and, for men, national service status. None of this is a legal requirement: they are hiring habits, and our template lets you fill them in or leave them out.

Start by reading the job ad. Write the CV in the language of the offer: French for most private companies, Arabic for many administrations and competitions, English when the employer works in English. Our tool produces all three, and Arabic is written right to left.

Put first what matters for the job: a two or three sentence profile, then your latest experience, then education. For each job give the employer, the place, the dates and three or four concrete duties, with figures only if you can back them up.

The sections of an Algerian CV

These are the sections the template offers, in the order a recruiter looks for them:

  • Identity and contact: name, target job, email, phone in +213 format (0555 12 34 56 becomes +213 555 12 34 56), commune and wilaya.
  • Personal details, all optional: date and place of birth, nationality, marital status, national service (completed, exempt, deferred, in progress, not applicable), driving licence.
  • Profile, work experience and education, with the exact name of the degree, the institution and the year.
  • Internships, certificates and extra training, for example a work placement or a course at a vocational centre (CFPA).
  • Skills, languages with their level, and interests if there is room.

Mistakes to avoid

A CV is often read in under a minute. These flaws get it set aside faster than any lack of experience:

  • Spelling mistakes and dates that do not follow each other.
  • A CV over two pages, or a page filled with details that do not help for the job.
  • A casual photo, a selfie or a cropped group picture: prefer an ID-style photo on a neutral background, or none.
  • An unprofessional email address, or a phone number without the country code when the job is far from home.
  • Sensitive numbers, such as the ID card or social security number: they do not belong on a CV.
  • Languages or software claimed without being able to show them in an interview.
  • A Word file that changes layout in the recruiter’s software: send a PDF named after you.

Competitions and the public sector

For a competition based on qualifications or a recruitment in an administration, the CV does not replace the file requested: the recruitment notice lists the documents to supply (copies of diplomas, birth certificate extract, certificates, and so on). Use the CV as a supporting document and follow the instructions of the notice to the letter.

Frequently asked questions

Should I put a photo on an Algerian CV?

A photo is common in Algeria, but it is not a legal requirement. If the ad does not ask for one you can leave it out. If you add one, choose an ID-style photo on a neutral background in sober clothes. The plain template shows none.

Should I state national service on the CV?

Many employers ask about the national service status of men. Pick the one on your service record (completed, exempt, deferred, in progress, not applicable), or show nothing. Women do not need to fill in this item.

What format should the phone number have?

The international format starts with +213 followed by the number without the leading 0: 0555 12 34 56 becomes +213 555 12 34 56. The tool does the conversion and you can switch it off.

Should I write my CV in French or Arabic?

Follow the language of the ad. Otherwise French is common in the private sector and Arabic in several administrations. You can change language in one click, and Arabic is shown right to left.

How many pages should a CV have?

One page for a first job, two at most for a longer career. The templates fit one A4 page with reasonable content.

How do I save the CV as a PDF?

Click “Download as PDF”, then choose “Save as PDF” as the printer in the print window. The file is created on your device.

Is my information sent to a server?

No. The CV is laid out in your browser and the photo stays on your device. The draft is saved (in your browser only) only if you tick the box provided.

Assumptions

  • The personal items (date and place of birth, nationality, national service, licence) are common practice on Algerian CVs, not legal obligations: all are optional here.
  • The phone number is converted to the international +213 format by dropping the leading 0 (10-digit mobile numbers, 9-digit landlines).
  • The PDF is produced by the browser print function, which keeps Arabic and its writing direction.
  • The national service wording is ours. Pick the one that matches your service record.

Cases not covered

  • No cover letter, competition file or supporting documents.
  • No Word export: use the PDF.
  • The specific requirements of a job ad or competition take precedence over this template.
